  Last month we had a Lumon cover installed over a section of our deck to replace an old awning. The awning had made the deck more functional, but our enthusiasm was eventually dampened by the significant cleaning it required biannually and the fact the awning had to be retracted every time we had a significant storm. When the latter occurred we had to be vigilant: Cushions and other items had to be stowed away, and outdoor furnishings had to be secured. Our new Lumon cover has eliminated these issues.
  
  In addition to these practical benefits, our new Lumon cover’s sleek, structurally sound design and simplistic beauty has added to our deck and back yard. The translucent roof allows for sufficient light. Even on gloomy days the light that is emitted is uplifting. And during the first heavy rainfall after the cover’s installation I was expecting a substantial pounding on the roof’s surface similar to what we experience on the skylight over our living room. I was pleased to discover that the only sound produced was a quiet patter despite the heavy downpour.
  
  My wife and I expected the professionalism we encountered during the initial visit of Lumon’s sales representative would be repeated during installation. Brandon and Dan, our installers did not disappoint us: They were polite, friendly, and courteous. They kept us informed during every step to insure us the installation was meeting our expectations. They worked quickly and diligently and completed their task much sooner than I anticipated. The cleanup that followed was very thorough. After they departed we were left with a beautiful new addition to our back yard living space that definitely exceeded all our expectations.
